  I have the great privilege of being the daughter of the owner of this house, which is completely hidden in the middle of the village of Otivar! This is what the local residents call my mother's house! Even if I've been there many times, it's always an experience for me, because the garden and house get more beautiful and splendid from time to time. This September I totally enjoyed staying in the new converted cottage. There you have a small, fine terrace, all to yourself! Lying in bed, dreaming like that, you look straight into the trees and flowers. The scent of jasmine is heavy in the air and you hear the lively chirping of birds and the hum of bees. An enchanted, peaceful place under the Andalusian sky - what more could you want on vacation!

  It was a really great vacation for us. We especially liked the lovingly furnished house, the garden and the summer house. We felt very comfortable, went on some very nice hikes despite the heat, discovered beautiful beaches and also enjoyed the city trips. All together a successful mixture! Thank you for letting us live in your house!

  The house in Otívar feels like a well-kept little paradise that can be reached after a short walk through the village on narrow, winding streets. The starry sky was particularly beautiful, and this week I discovered three shooting stars. I would have loved to stay longer, because I think you only get that Otívar feeling after a few days. It is warm, but not uncomfortably hot because there is always a pleasant wind blowing. So you can also do the short hike to the waterfalls (Junta de los Rios). If you don't want to jump off the rocks there, you can simply refresh yourself in the pool with crystal clear jade green water. Hidden in the mountainous surroundings of Otívar, they are a true oasis in the middle of nowhere. The beach in Almunecar is relaxed because it is very spacious and there is enough space. In addition, it is so close to the house and you can take a nice walk along the promenade in the evening - with a sky bathed in powder pink. Canuello Beach, with its straw umbrellas, is a bit more "paradisiacal" and remote. Both beaches are very clean. Lots of peace and quiet, nice persone, beautiful nature and surroundings and a magic garden.

  ... we felt very comfortable in the village and in the house! The view of the Rio Verde valley from the roof terrace is fantastic! There are very beautiful beaches on the Costa Tropical, not far from Otivar! The mountain hikes in the Sierra, which are among the most beautiful between Granada and Málaga, were very varied! The house, which must have been a warehouse in the past, has 3 levels that are connected by small stairs, similar to a ship, like decks. The whole house looks like living on a small ship! The kitchen is well equipped and you can walk straight into the enchanting garden, where you can use the most wonderful herbs and lemons for cooking. The best thing to do is to put your fish with the herbs on the grill grate, which is built into a wall at the back of the garden! We will be back definitely!

  We had a wonderful 10 days in Otivar. The lovingly designed house with the most beautiful view of the valley made it easy for us to feel right at home! The morning view of the beautiful garden, let every day start with a smile! Everything you need was there and we fondly remember the many balmy evenings on the roof terrace with a delicious glass of wine! Granada and Málaga were easy and quick to reach as day trips - on hikes in the surrounding mountains we had wonderful experiences and impressions of nature and the proximity of Otivar to the surrounding beaches was perfect for relaxing in between. We will definitely come back !!
